From the Long Island Sound to the Atlantic Ocean, the Town of Brookhaven is the largest township in Suffolk County. Several villages belong to this charming community, including well-known neighborhoods like Port Jefferson, Lake Grove, and Shoreham. Altogether, the Town’s several communities are wonderfully diverse and feature plenty of affordable housing options.

Brookhaven’s downtown districts offer unique shopping boutiques, tiny cafes and amazing restaurants. There are also several top-notch art galleries to visit, as well as performing arts centers and museums to enjoy too.

The Town’s parks are located all throughout, offering residents easy access to picturesque trails, community pools and other outdoor activities. For the avid golfers out there, you’ll be pleased to know that there are over a dozen public and private golf courses, too.

Conveniently situated just an hour outside of New York City and slightly west of the Hamptons, commuting to and from the Town of Brookhaven is quite simple, as there are many east- and west-bound LIRR stations to choose from. There’s also easy access to all of the Island’s major highways and parkways. Ferry service to Connecticut is available via the Town’s Port Jefferson terminal, and there’s service to Fire Island on the South Shore, too, by way of the Patchogue station.
